i agree. even though he is dead, she is still the victim. and the saddest part is after the tragedy, the monday morning quarterbacks are questioning the legality of defending one's person and property. who the heck do they think they are? the system always favors the criminal. when your life is in immediate danger, the cops are only 3 to 5 minutes away, and your attacker knows this.

Default warningshot !

I wasn't there , but It didn't sound like the guy got a warning or something.
She just shot him , I'm sorry but that's not okay in my book.

its A'ok in my book bc he shouldnt have been there to begin with...
i ever catch someone breaking into my house i'm shooting first and asking questions later, i'm damn sure not going to give them a warning so he gets the opportunity to pull his weapon on me or my wife and child
this lady deserves one hell of a pat on the back as far as i'm concerned..she did exactly what she should have done

I agree, I would be the first one in line to shake her hand. She absolutely did the right thing and I would not hessitate to do exactly the same. Zero tolerance for criminal activity.

So I guess the cops are wasting their time to when they're apprehending a suspect ?

Drunks at my door will get the same treatment. That lady did good. She saved the courts some money and time.

Your comments are weak and pathetic.

Did you pay attention to the details of the incident?

There's always some pansy ass who wants to second guess the actions of people in their most horrifying moments. Did she sound blood thirsty to you? Did it sound like she had any options? Do you think she wanted to shoot him and avoided trying to prevent that?

Our laws here in America on the use of self defense can be frustrating for the offended more often than not. In situations when there aren't even any charges brought against the offended, the legality and prudency of the actions are more than likely way over justified and in this case she was so justified it's laughable. The fact that you would try to smear her makes you the lowest dog around.

She did what she had to do.....defend herself. The only warning a scumbag like that should get is a bullet through the brain. She should be allowed to hang his carcass on the fence out front to let the other scumbags know what will happen to you.

Kudos to her to have taken the difficult, but necessary action dictated by the situation.
I hope she gets over the psychological aspect of her actions quickly.

Couldn't agree more. By the time the cops got there, the lady is likely dead. The guy shouldn't have been there in the first place.

It's 100% ok in my book.
Would you have preferred she "ask" the criminal his intentions?
All too many times, in a situation such as this, the victim ends up dead. What about that pretty blond newscaster down south earlier this year, she was beaten to death?

Problem is, criminals don't fear the homeowners. This sort of stuff might give them reason to fear us.

She did just what I'd do in that situation. If someone breaks into my house and I'm home I'll kill them. The difference is she'll feel bad later and I won't. My wife and kids are worth way more to me than some lazy bastard who thinks it's ok to steal.

Jen's said the same thing, If I'm not home and someone breaks in I have no doubt she'll shoot them to protect our kids.

A stray dog's worth more to society than a theif and should be treated as such.
