They built VERY few of these cars. Dan Jensen had a registry years ago. Is yours a manual or an automatic transmission?

Sounds like a real neat car. I have yet to see a non-Judge in 1971 or 1972 "A" body anything with a factory documented Judge rear spolier. Dealer installed yes, but not factory installed. I would love to see the PHS or the build sheet on your car. I would sure say that your trade was certainly to your advantage. Nice steal on a very rare Pontiac! A great color to boot!

Of the 4,660 Endura Option Lemans produced in 1971, only 23 came with the 455HO. This figure is from a memo dated 10-26-89 by GM's Fred Simmonds.

Dang it - now I need to go home and change my shirt. I started drooling when I read Lucy Blue with White Vinyl top - then I saw the 455 HO and...well...it's embarassing...please post some pictures and get the PHS anyway.
Congrats on a nice find/deal! BJ

I have a 72 HO lemans..Lucy Blue too...nice score...welcome to the HO Lemans club....not too many people in it! LOL Mine is one of 46 total built.
I see you're not too far from KC....I live outside of Olathe. As you can see in my signature line, I'm into Lucy Blue '72's. If you have any ?? or need some parts, I may have them! Just let me know.

There were less than 100 non-GTO, non-Trans Am 455 H.O. cars built in 1971 and 1972.

There were 122 non GTO/Judge A bodies built in 1971 w/455HO. Another 15 were built in CA for a total of 137. This is both info from Dan Jensen and the late John Sawruk. I have letter from John on it he sent me in '85.
Dan's info from the 90's indicates 102 total in '72. '71 LemansSport send me a PM and I can send you Dan's Info, unless others would like me to post here.

Here are the numbers of non 455HO GTO's: There were 102 total Lemans built with the 455 HO engine OF the 102: 21 were Lemans GT's optioned with the 455HO AND of the 21 GT's: 14 were Hard top and 7 were convertibles. Of these 14 HT: 10 were M22's and 4 were M40's Of the 7 Verts: 2 were M22 and 5 were M40 Of the remaining 81 Lemans: 9 were coupes, 26 were Convertibles and 46 were Hard tops. Of the 9 coupes: 5 were M22 and 4 were M40 No break down for the verts or the Hard tops. Data was not kept for those models Due to the fact they did not keep track of 3spd vs. 4spd transmissions. With the above numbers, one can assume it was about 50-50...so 1 of 23 or so. This list can be deciphered from the 1972 production numbers Memo, which lists all options and how many cars got them. I have it in PDF format if you'd like a copy, LMK. I have 71 and 70 production number memos also. Wow! another Lucy Blue 4spd HO Lemans in that 1 of 23 list, or should I say 2 of 23....what other options you have on it? Mine was pretty highly optioned out...disc brakes...all the WW5 options..AM/FM stereo..power windows..rear bumper guards..A/C....about 34 of 'em IIRC.
