Question Tattoo help

I have an idea for a tat, what I am looking for is a drawing of a Pontiac V8 engine. Like a blue print drawing you would find in the old school books or service manuals. Any help would be appreciated PM or e-mail cvrinc08@hotmail.com Thanks Jim C.

Your idea is great, but remember...try and keep it fairly simple. The more eliberate the design, you'll need to go bigger or the details will be lost. Something like an entire motor might be a full back design, and I hope you have an excellent Tatt Artist in mind. I have one Tatt. Thought a first gen Bird emblem would be simple. NOT!!! The artist that did mine had excellent references, and I'd seen his work. The stencil he placed on my ankle was perfect when he laid it on. Well it did not turn out, and now I'm stuck with it. Here's mine, many claim it resembles a humming bird, the lines are not straight, the head is squatty, the lines in the tail are hardly there, the head is rounded, so my point is be careful with designs that are to detailed. Good luck!!

Man, that thing'll look great.

Until it starts looking like a MELTED engine a few years down the road.

Gotta love the tattoo hate. Like mentioned before, if youre going for something detailed, you wanna go big. If you're going big, you better be damn sure its what you want/where you want it, and I also agree with the comment about finding a tattoo artist who you are wholly confident in. It took me about a year of searching to find mine. Good luck if you go through with it.

You might tattoo it on your (way) lower back, then you can make it revv too... and, when it revves to much and your head turns red because of all the revving.. you bend over and the block even cracks!!! isn't that cool??????
(I might even start on the exhaust fumes... but I will not..LOL)

Haha, just kidding hope you can take a joke

I think you would regret that one early on. Old man skin can get funky with that much 20+ y.o. ink in it.

Come to think of it, that would look wicked on a banner. I bet Shawn could make a banner or decal out of it, that would be a neat idea. Hang it in your shop. He does custom graphics and has an ad in here somewhere.

Tattoos are something person or public if you want.
I'd personally put it where it can be covered up easy.
1. The sun fades them
2. future employeers might not hire you if they see them at interviews.
3. Never, Ever! have any name tatooed on you!

This is my tatoo I got 10 years ago.

Isn't that the ancient Mayan symbol for Camaro?

Thumbs up Yes it will be big

I am going to have the basic outline of the engine on my back over my heart. In the middle of the V-8 it will have a very bold pontiac arrow head. All this will be inside the shape of a heart. And the skin around the heart will look like it is ripped open so you will see my real heart. No one steal my idea!!! This will be my 3rd tat so I have given it a lot of thought! Thanks for all the input PONTIAC'S FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
