makeshift trim install
The trim for side moldings had rusted beyond recognision. Was able to save a few for size.
Cash now is slight problem, but have many tools at hand. An idea I had was to fit flat pieces of metal into trim, then weld a bolt to metal to go thru holes in body to install. Any one try this? This is for a driver, not a show car. When and if time comes for a good paint and body work then can go with proper attachments.

That may work in a pinch. Maybe go to an automotive paint store to see if similar clips are available.
