Default 69 firebird combo questions

I have a 69 bird I built several years ago but it had been pretty much parked the last 3 years due to a accident, the damage is repaired now and I would like to take it to heartland park , never been to a strip . I also have a 72 to ventura that has no interior or motor at this point. Here's my 69 combo, questions will follow.

69 in full trim
0.030 455
10/10 nodular crank
rods resized, polished, arp bolts
0.030 trw forged pistons with file fit speed pro rings.
balanced
#96 heads set for 9.5 cr, ferra valves, comp springs, retainers, 1:52 magmun roller tips, flow 248/185 @ 500, crossovers blocked not filled.
1'' 3/4 heddmens ,3'' exhaust with flow master knock offs .

duration @ .050
intake exhaust

lobe lift .3410-.3410
seperation 112
400 turbo rebuilt with B@M good cluthes, heavy sprag, strip set up with deep pan
tight redneck 3400 stall
12 bolt , 355 screw, auburn posi , superior axles.
comp traction bars
comp enginnering shocks
rear wheel 8x15 weld on mickey indy s/s L60-15.

I drive this car to play don't care about drivability
how much hp would be gained by filling head cross?
Would I gain anything with a larger cam such as the 290b ?
Can't afford a roller also just bought a new100 horse eldebrock nitrous system for $250.00 but not sure I would use it on 455 or a 400 I'm building for my ventura .
Plan on drag radials for bird .
The bird runs hard , just want as much as I can get with these heads and short block .

Up grade your connecting rods! Affordable steel rods will protect you from premature engine failure later. Then you can play with more peace of mind!

That combo is darn close to mine 462 Comp.xe284 but with the bottom end to hold up the Hp. 96 heads are good for the 455 build and pump gas but they will require port work to make the most out of that cam that size........I agree with Bruce get some decent rods first then port those 96's or forget that and buy a set of Aluminum heads, much more bang for the buck..
