Saw that one this morning, love the story.
That car is just begging to be driven!

I posted questions about this car in the 1970-3 Firebird forums SD thread. And, it looks restored to me.

Personally I'm NOT a big fan of SD Formula's (WRONG hood),but really like the color combo, double deluxe interior,Judge Stripes AND the rear spoiler DELETE option. |

It looks like I've just added another Super Duty with a vinyl top to the total. That makes 8 now that I know of.

Critter,
Do you have the red 74 SD that was in VA a couple of years ago on your list? I believe it was a Maine or CT car that ended up in VA. It was in primer on Ebay a couple of years ago, and came with a 75 T/A parts car? That car is also a vinyl top car. I believe it's a 4-spd. It's in NC now. I wish my 74 SD Formula looked that nice. Anyone notice that there is no space-saver tire on the window sticker?
The picture of the front floor, #21, sure looks like looped-pile carpet. Should be cut-pile on a 74. What is the extra emblem on the trunk lid? (picture #18) Bird emblem on the dash does not belong. Rocker cover decal is moved as stated, but what happened to the engine emission decal that should be on the radiator support? I think this car is mostly original and in amazingly good condition. (may have had the valve covers painted?) Had to have been in climate control storage to keep it this nice. It would look much better without the vinyl top. |

Love that car. My 74 Formula 455 had the exact same interior and was finished in Fire Coral Bronze. I'd love to have this one but he won't get any bids at that starting price!
BJ PS: Paul, love the new Avatar photo!

I saw that too. WTF??? It looks like he is trying to avoid it in the pics as it can only be seen in pic #5 now. |
