Default Z28 spoiler on firebird

not that there is something wrong with a 70-73 t/a spoiler on a bird,
not that there is something wrong with a bird without spoiler,

but i am wondering.....

how would the 'small' z28 spoiler of a 2nd gen camaro look on a bird?

and i'm offcourse NOT talking about the one you see often on birds.
so NOT this one:

but THIS one:

i know the firebird's rear end is a bit different then the camaro, but I think it might fit...
perhaps with some minor tweaking....

anybody tried? can't imagine i'd be first to think of this.....
would it look?

(idea spinning in my mind since I think the t/a spoiler is just a bit too big for my flavour and without spoiler seems a slightly bit 'unfinished'. i'd enjoy either one, but i'm concidering a possible 'fusion')

The Chevy designers actually stole that rear spoiler design (on the white Camaro) from Pontiac when the Pontiac designers were coming up with a rear spoiler for the '70 Firebird- probably a corporate decision. But even our beloved rear spoiler works alot better than that little Camaro lip spoiler. I say go for it- it's your car.

it's not about functionality, as more for looks......thanks for the info about the design 'stealing', didn't know that!

what is the estimated value of such a camaro spoiler as mentioned? (epay)

Hold up there.... Pontiac actually lifted the math data from Chevy. In an "I'm sorry" kinda move, they gave Chevy the center section of the spoiler.
You gotta remember that John DeLorean just left Pontiac for Chevy and took a lot of secrets w/ him, so the PMD boys didn't see anything wrong w/ "borrowing" the wind tunnel math data.
