Default U-Joint fit problem for my 66 LeGTO

Hello Hello,

I just bought a Brute Force U-joint part # 2-3011BF for my 66 Lemans with a TH400 switch pitch trans. The u-joint presses onto the yoke end perfectly, though slides right into the d-shaft just light finger force, that is, the caps are clearly too small in diameter for the dshaft hole. All the caps appear the same size and are numbered "47" on the end.

I have a perfect fitting hybrid HD U-joint from Spicer (if I recall) on the back side of the d-shaft, as I have a 12 bolt rear from a Chevelle in it, and the caps going into the Dshaft have the number "48" on them.

Anyone know what's going on here? Any suggestions for the strong U-joint I'll need for the front half? Thanks so much for any help!!!

Sounds like you have a driveshaft issue.

Maybe a d-shaft issue, though the old (likely original) u-joint I pressed out fit tight and it will press back in nicely, too...
