Default Anyone want to race?

Not the usual race, since the economy is in the crapper. How about a race to see who can go the fastest, with the least amount of money put in the car, and do it with the least amount of fuel? In other words build a cheap fast efficient car.

Pontiacs are perfect for it. Anyone want to try to beat me at the low buck game?

My goal is mid 10s for $4k +/- $1k including safety items, and 20mpg.

New build, not something you are currently running, unless its already a seriously low buck yet reliable ride.

Almost forgot, needs to have plates, insurance, registration, and lights.. Sorta a see how fast you can go and still drive it to work if you need to.

Since I have a ton of parts, to make it fair we need to include any funds already invested, like a ported set of heads would still be valued at the cost of the valves, porting, and one valve job. Whatever you spent, whenever you spent it counts, if something is given to you, it must be yours to keep and do with as you please. So your buddy cant loan you a stall and a roller cam in his 505 shortblock. The car must be yours, and whatever you paid for it, whenever you bought it counts.

You can spray, boost, build whatever you like. No restrictions on the body other than you must own it, and it needs to be street legal in your state and have at least one seat other than the drivers seat. You can run slicks, and any displacement you like. No weight limits, only factors are how much you have in it, how fast it goes, and how much fuel it uses. Any fuel is ok too... even nitromethane if you feel so inclined.
