Default 68 GTO Oil dipstick extension tube mounting location

Can someone please tell me the proper mounting location for the oil dipstick tube. It is an AC car. I purchased a dipstick Part# 00480843 but it does not line up with anything. The engine is a 1972 455 and I am installing the original AC compressor and brackets. Everything lines up except for this dam dipstick extension tube.

There were three+ versions of that bracket between 68-70. I have 5 69's with AC and all are virgin cars and there are two different arangements just in that model year.

I think the new version still sold by GM has to be tweaked to catch the AC bracket.

If nothing is close just trim the bracket on the tube and place (rebend a bit if necessary) the tube between the valve cover and the AC bracket so that it can not move around much.

I did it years ago on a car I added AC to and it worked fine (I tacked the upper tube to the lower one with a quick touch from a TIG welder so it would not come loose)
