Default fuel line

What is the safest fuel line to run from the pump to the Carb, I have rubber hose right now but it is touching the block, I am paranoid about safety, because of the burns I saw soldiers got in burning humvees in Iraq, Engine is moderate 455 in 66 GTO with headers, Carb is pontiac Q-jet, car used for car shows and ice cream runs, Any suggestions

Standard steel or stainless hard-line with flared ends & fittings is probably the safest option IMO.

As long the fella plumbing it knows what he's doing...

If the line runs by a heat source, put some insulating sheathing over the hard-line to keep the fuel cool and such.

As long as the hard-line is'nt rubbing against something else,it should last a good long time.

Use insulated line (adel) clamps to avoid that issue.

Ask me,that is about as good as it gets.
