Looks like fun. I might get started on mine this winter. Gotta get the Firebird done first...........its in about the same stage as your car.............a million pieces. I left the rear end in it for now and Im gonna bolt a 2X6 across where the front body mounts would be at the firewall then bolt some big 10" casters to the 2X6 so I can still move it around easily. That way I can roll it outside while Im doing sanding/filler work so the shop wont get so dusty. Once I get the body all done and in primer then Im gonna put it up on the lift and remove the rear to finish the bottom of the car.......whick luckily will only require a cleanup and some fresh paint for the most part.

Weekend fun car, my GN is the race car. Almost want it to look like a 70's custom updated. The car is actually a buick apollo that's getting a 74 gto front end with custom touches and a mild 400ci pontiac with a 2004r. I have a set of torque thrust d's that came off a friends buick but would require a mini tub to use, so if they don't sell on craigslist I will probably just do the mini tub.

Please use the tail light panel from a ventura (good luck in finding a good one) or one from a nova.

I actually like the apollo tail lights and when I am done with the rear bumper everything should look moulded together.

Well after over a year with no progress I have had some extra time to work on it. Git the firewall smoothed, the subframe and rearend cleaned up. As well as the LS1 brakes installed.

Cool I have seen a few 74 gto pics. of people mounting the shaker to the hood! I just got a kit from pontiac plus to make mine function again. As my scoupe was gutted buy the former owner for some unkown reason. its a really nice kit for $149.00 much cheaper than tying to get a fully funtioning oem one. Just some input so if you dont have a scoupe. you can make a trans-am one work too

The LS1 isn't going to shake so you will just have to sell that hood to me.

It'll work great on my 6.0 based 408 carbed motor.

Got the body in primer and a good chunk of the rear bumper transformation done. Going to concentrate on getting the cars mechanicals worked out and the interior fab work done.

I have always hate the way 73-74 xbody bumpers look. Still have quite a bit of work left to get it perfect, but that start out as the stock bumper Will get some better pics as soon as I can.

Here's an update but will probably the last for a while. This project is going on the back burner. Project Have Blue is coming out of retirement.

Since the car was originally a Buick Apollo, it's OK to make it your own creation. Looks way cool.
