Default My 72 GTO

Hi everybody.
Hereīs a couple of pictures of my car.
Itīs a 72 GTO.
Came from the factory with 455 HO motor , has a 350 in it now.(Pontiac not Chevy)
WW5 option , th400 trans, 12 bolt "Safe-T-Track" axle with 3.07 gears.
It lost itīs original engine sometimes during the eighties when some fool overrevved it and blew holes in the side of the block...
It had a Chevy bigblock in it when I bought the car but a 72 455HO from a Trans Am
came along with the deal.
That engine is now being rebuilt to stock performance and shape except from CAT H-beam rods ,SRP pistons and ARPbolts and studs.
I ordered the PHS documents and found out to my surprise that it really is a WW5 car.
Had been told that before I bought it but I didnīt belive it..
Sold new at "Mc Clurd Pontiac" in Penns Grove , New Jersey.
Itīs been here in Sweden since 1976.
Well thats about it..
Regards / Johan

Johan, sounds like a great car, looks like it was an auto with A/C car...interesting that it was overseas since '76. can you post a pic of the PHS? I also have a WW5 car and would like to see the options that the car came with.

Thanks,

Mike

Hi again.
Thanks for the nice comments.
Yes it came with A/C but all the parts are long gone..sad to say.
The car is in good shape, Has been repainted one time (1991).
Has original interior ,looks like new. A good daily driver during the summer.
My idea is to collect the missing parts (A/C , RamAir pan and cleaner etc ) and restore it to stock shape in the future,
but for now I love it just the way it is.
Here is the PHS.
Btw how many cars were equipped with the WW5 option?

I was wondering if my car came with 14" or 15" Honeycombs and w/wo trim rings?
I asume it was 15". I just layed my hands on a set of 15" Honeys with Trim rings.
They need to be repainted but are overall in good shape.
Btw I gave around 375 $ for them , not to bad I think..
Thanks / Johan
