Default Darksider makes it into 11s

http://myspacetv.com/index.cfm?fusea...deoid=27369401

Just wanted to say thanks to those that offered their suggestions/hints/ideas regarding the KRE 85cc/260 we recently installed on our P-Dude powered 455 Catalina.

Out of the box my son Rob posted a new best of 11.74 @ 114 with a 1.60 sixty foot.
Not bad for a two ton plus land barge on 235 wide tires.
Also posted the link above of one of our runs, this one against a Z06 'Vette.

Again, thanks for the help.
Jim

The track announcer is very familiar with our car and how it runs as we have been racing at Bradenton for a couple of years now. And the announcer made some nice comments earlier when we first got into the 11s. It doesn't come thru on the audio too well but after he says "This is going to be a good match-up" he chuckled as he knew what the results would be.

Mark- we picked up .5 right out of the box. The only thing we did that night was to raise the secondary floats a bit. Now it's time for some real TNT and get it dialed in a bit.
Hope to see you and that fast flyin 'Bird at the track sometime.
Thanks, "Still Grinnin" Jim

That's what I'm talking about !
That big beautiful poncho is BAD ASS !
Most corvettes are very annoying, so this is particularly sweet.

I bet that the guy in the vette was thinking "hmmm, I'll smoke this Grandpa Joe car by at least 10-15 car lengths" LOL LOL LOL

Now it's time to go whup some Viper butt. When ya gonna do that ?

The 1.60 was on a freshly prepped track; as the prep went away so did our traction.
Going to look at some 28" tires soon as you suggested.
"Tens are next !! - don't give my son any ideas !!
Thanks, jim

Silver Judge - Actually Rob had beat a couple of Vipers before the head change. Viper owners [for the most part] are like Vette owners - they don't know how to race their cars. That being said there are a couple of high 11s Vipers that come to the track on occasion - I think my son Rob wants to go snake hunting.

Thanks, Jim
