Rockett Brand Race Fuel?
Thinking about trying Rockett 111 race fuel. Does anyone have any experience with this fuel?

the ad pictures in National Dragster looks like a take over of Unocal 76/ Union 76 fuel company ,if so ,its garden variety fuel within others .
the better race fuel that has a punch to it within the same octane your seeking is the VP oxiginated 111 race fuel !!! VP claims more power with their tests . http://www.myspace.com/hkmotorsportsdynoshop official http://pontiacdragdays.com/Sponsors.htm dyno sponsor

Contact Tim Wucz at Rockett if you are interested. I have low compression 455SD (nine to one) where I have run Rockett fuel back to back with VP C-12 and C-11, then Rocket 1-18 PS fuel. It was 11 hundredths quicker in tad bit worse air.
Last drum of Rocket 1-11 whole 55 gal drum was $320.00, havent tested this back to back yet. Tim Wucz believes that combustion efficiency is best enhanced with a fuel that burns quickly. Improving combustion time also is critical on a Pontiac due to its extremely high piston speed. High piston speeds large cubic inches with a small cross sectional area all cause wet flow issues. To maximize combustion efficiency the 1-18 atomizes and burns more quickly to resolve these issues. Tim Recommends that you retard your timing 3-4 degrees when trying this first. This improves combustion efficiency so that less spark lead is necessary. It also would be a prudent move to prevent detonation. Add timing back 1 deg advance at a time till you find your sweet spot. (Unless you are way over the top on timing anyways.) I run 34 with VP and 32 with Rocket 1-18. Lynn Last edited by NHRASuperStock455SD; 08-19-2007 at 05:17 PM. |
