KRE HP heads are worth 155hp over my D-port heads. 255cfm versus 355cfm and 18# of boost.

Brad. When I went from my 305 cfm E-heads to the 365 cfm E-heads, same nitrous tune up. Same drivetrain and car. Same parts.
I picked up 8 mph. mph is hp. Don't know what that relates to in hp increase but know it's a bunch. I think it's more the flow you picked up and the engine needed, rather then the type head used. But, hey, it's all good. So ya getting close to getting it on the ground and the bugs worked out? |

yes, mph in the 1/8mile is what i used to judge the power, 112.12mph with the d-ports to 119.53mph with the high ports, same boost(diff pulley combos). probably done for the year, need to change my piston pin hieght, and going to go to cometics-have to have the block decked.

The hundred cfm per runner (D-Ports vs KREs) helped you out but when you readjusted the boost to the same level the supercharger made a lot of the difference. To get 18# with the 355 cfm heads you were adding a lot more airflow from the blower. Boost is purely a restriction to flow. The 18# with the 255 cfm heads was fairly easy to get as the heads do not flow that much. Getting 18# of boost on a 355 head is a LOT OF AIRFLOW. Imagine 18# on a 450 cfm Dart 335 cnc ported head. Gordon made over 1700 hp with that head at 17 pis of boost. Tom V.
