Default Got my project home

I finally got my 67 GTO shell home today. Has about 6 troubled areas, the worse part is around the trunk area. Has a little rust on the windshield channel but nothing serious. I'll get it to a sandblaster in a few weeks so I can see how bad the rear looks

Here is the trunk hole

Looks like this on both sides

I have to say after watching what they did to that 67 Lemans on MUSCLECAR, that does not look to bad nor does it look intimidating. Are you going to do the work yourself? Best of luck with it! We are all here to help and have fun with ya...

Yeah I'm going to attempt the work myself. I'm going to buy a welder soon and a buddy of mine is going to teach me how to weld. I'll do my first attempt on the driver floor pan.

Looks similar to mine (when I brought it home). Lot of work but you'll have something to be proud of when you have completed it. Good luck and don't hesitate to ask questions.

After doing a bit of work on my car, there is a strong connection to the car its self. I cant possibly identify with someone who has statred with a project like that and taken it to completion. In the end, there must be some sort of overwhelming feeling connected to that car. Good luck and keep us updated on your progress.
