Smile STOCK CLASS RULES

Q:

This is reguarding stock class racing ie: E/SA.

Does NHRA accept casting of heads and blocks that are identical but from different years for stock class racing.

They have a list of every head volumes allowed. But I can't open it. When you link look on the left menu for stock cylinder head volumes

You are only allowed to run head numbers that came in different years as long as the chamber CC and volumes match.. Same thing with blocks, yes you can use a 1973 (400 block) in a 1969 car and vise a versa... If your combo came with a 4X head, you can use one from 1971-1975 for an example.. Hope that helps you out and welcome to sportsmen classracing its GREAT....

Thanks for the info. I have built many cars in the past 30 years and always was intrigued with the blistering performance of the stockers. Seriously interested in building a stock class car. Again thanks for the info.

GTO65,

You can e-mail me anytime you have any questions..I have been running Stock or Superstock for 30 years or more...I think its the best game in town, especially if you do your own work and like to test...Pontiacs, as you know are a different breed of their own and like totally different things..

you cant open it unless you have a spreadsheet application on your computer (such as MS Excel) that will read .xls files.
