Default Throttlecable length

Need to change the trottlecable and bracket as previous owner put something that does neither look nice or belong there.
I have been looking at Lokar cables, brackets and kickdown switch but dont know what length is required. Somwhere I read that 24" would be the correct length, someone that can confirnm that and/or hint me of another brand that is better??

I used the 24 inch on my 68. It needed to be trimed just a bit. I did not use the lokar bracket.

24" is correct. Get the lokar 1st gen camaro pedal with the Lokar throttle cable bracket, that's all you'll need.

Do I have to change the pedal or will it work with the original one?

You'll have to change the pedal to the lokar one.

I used the original pedal. You will need to swap out the clevis, pin etc.. from the old cable onto the new one. No big deal.

I'm not familiar with the Lokar pedal, so I can't speak to that. Good luck!

Ditto on changing the clevis,I did the same and used my 68 pedal.
I bought the 36 inch because it was same price and I didnt have to "guess".
If the 24 inch works fine then get that.

Crap, maybe I did get the 36, now I'm not sure. Sorry about that.
Get the lokar pedal, it looks sooooo good and is perfect for a bird.
I love mine.
