Default Suggestions for "Midnight Blue"

I am in the process of getting the bird painted.

Decided to change the color to midnight blue.

The closest things from pontiac are the 1963 Nocturne Blue or the 67 Fathom Blue.

I do not think that either of these are a metallic.

Anyone have a suggestion.

It has the parchment interior, so a pearlcoat may be appropriate as well.

1974 Admiralty Blue. Look for pics of '74 Trans Ams and you'll find plenty of examples since it was one of only three colors available that year.

98-02 Navy Blue Metalic used on the Firebirds and Midnight Blue Metalic used on the 2005 GTO are very nice shades.

I had a '99 navy blue Vette that was gorgeous, same color suggested by Mr GTO above. Had nice metallic that had a slight purple tint in some lights, and a gold tint in others.

If you want to stick with original colors, '64 Nocturne or '65 Nightwatch blue are beautiful shades. Your painter could add a touch of metallic to the original blend.

Can anybody tell me the color of my car?

It's one of the nicest shades of blue I've seen.

And no it's not just because I'm biased

Thanks for the help.

I am down to 2 colors

Indigo Blue Mettalic WA9792
Navy Blue Metallic WA353E

I am still trying to find the paint code for the 2005 GTO Midnight Blue. All I can find was that it was a special code 28U in the GM order form. Any help would be appriciated.

It is going to be 2005 Pontiac midnight blue metallic.

A bit of a challenge to find since it is a Holden (Austrailian) color, and the PPG website lacks current paint cards. It is also called Vespers Blue.

I looked at this versus the Indigo Blue commonly offered by GM. So, I went to a local paint shop and put the chips side by side. They are virtually identical.

Didn't Pontiac make a midnight blue in 79?
In the 60s Nocture Blue and Midnight Blue were the same thing, just a different name. Midnight Blue for Chevy.
