Painted Engine
After many failed attempts to make my intake look new and my motor being the wrong pontiac blue. I painted it and the intake! I used Dupli-Color DE1616 with a couple of coats of Dupli-Color high heat on the heads where the exhaust manifolds attach.

Looks good. I don't think the fuel pump is supposed to be painted, but I get the impression you are going for a monochrome look.

Nothing better that an engine with fresh coat of paint. Looks nice. I know this may be a bad thing, but I always clear mine. Im not going for the stock look, I like the shine and its easier to keep clean.
