Default Vacuum line to TH 400

Sorry for the simple question. Is there a vacuum line to the trannie (TH400) - I assume there is. There has been so much switching around with the new engine I do not remeber were everything was - and the PO never connected some things (the old engine was a 350 with a Q-jet). If so, where is the best place for vacuum from a tripower setup.
Car - '64 GP
Engine - '65 421 with '65 tripower
Trannie - TH 400 switchpitch

Default manifold vacuum

Mine is hooked to the rear of the card.

Stevep will know for certain. He probably has the mm Hg required.

Good luck,
Greg

Any port that has manifold vacuum will work fine.

I don't think I have that much vacuum with my cam (need to get everything hooked yet to check). Engine has only been run on a stand yet.

For the tripower my only vacuum options are:
  1. Add a T fitting to the large vacuum line from the front carb base to the power brakes
  2. Tie into line from center carb to distributer
  3. Add to F fitting with two lines from intake manifold that tie into one line to PCV in the valley pan
  4. There are no vacum fittings on rear carb

My best guess would be to T into power brake vacuum line. Any confirmation or other ideas?

i'd use option #2. it'll be about the right size.

i ususally bend up a piece of brake line to run from the modulator to the manifold and then connect it with rubber hose. that way if it rubs or gets against the exhaust it doesn't burn a hole in it.
