TRUNK MOUNTED BATTERY
DETROIT SPEED OFFERS A NICE CNC'D BATTERY HOLD DOWN FOR TRUNK MOUNTED BATTERYS.
THE QUESTION: IS THIS 100% NHRA LEGAL, OR DOES THE BATTERY HAVE TO BE MOUNTED IN A BOX. DOES THE BATTERY HOLD DOWN HAVE TO BE BOLTED TO THE FRAME. |

Must be bolted around a frame.
You do not need a box if you have a rear firewall. NHRA pg. 227 8:1

$10 will still get you an NHRA rulebook. Or is it $12 now?

If you become an NHRA member, 65 I think, it includes life and medical insurance should you become injured/killed while attending an event or racing.
