Default what are the octane requirements for different compression ratios

what are the octane requirements for different compression ratios.
I am specifically looking for the requirements for a 13.1 aluminum headed engine.

Thanks. I searched and couldn't really find anything in particular.

Best to call the manufacture of the fuel and tell them your combo.

Same for shipping. You can GET AHOLD OF THEM and they will tell your the distributors in your area. Usually the closer the less freight it cost.

Union 76 has too much color init and will stain the intake if you get any leakage.

I have run torco and VP. No issues.

The Sunoco is also good. All will do the job. N/A as long as you get the right fuel for your combo. Check around local (Circle track guys use it too) and see who handles race fuel. Most will sell you a drum to keep their Quota up. LOL.

I can find Allen's number somewhere. Also you should be able to get what you need at MIR as well.

Jackson's Machine Shop carries VP racing fuels. They're located not far from BWI airport.

Yes they do. About two miles above Arundel Mills but GOD help you finding the place. You literally enter down a dirt road and there is practically no sign at all. You can't see the place from the road.

Nice folks though. They will hook you up with fuel though.

I run VP C-12 with 13 to 1 compression with my e-heads. Runs great.

COMP....Octane...Max Efficiency
20:1.......40..........+1% auto-ign (diesel)
-
-
13:1......110.........Max eff..(Spark-Ignite)
12:1......103..........-1%
11.5:1.....98...........-2%
10.5:1.....93...........-3%
9.5:1.......89...........-4%
8.5:1.......87..........-5%
8.3:1.......86..........-6%
-----------------------------

There you have it. You all knew this from experience, I just put the table together, off the top of my head and within 10% of the correct answers.

I chose 8.x:1 for 87 Octane usage ($2.11/gallon today) for a penalty of Oh Say -25HP compared to 13:1.

Smile Torco or Sunoco

Suggest you run Torco 110 purple if you can purchase it in your area. They will sell drums. Second would be Sunoco 110 purple. Both will be the least expensive and the most stable. For Torco, you can call Eastern Fuels out of the Carolinas, look them up on the net.
