71 gto power window question
i was wondering, could a gp power window set up work with 71 gto? i was told it would and all have to worrie about it electrical wirring and buttons? any truth to this?

'Tis true young jedi. Harnesses on the front need to be modified for the correct switches. Regulators are correct for the 70-72 A bodies.

I have this info on our site...how to install PW.
When install a PW set-up from a GP...all you need to modify is the master power window socket from the driver's door. The GP is square and the GTO versions is rectangular. Go to Radio Shack and get a good soldering gun, heat shrink tubing and solder flux. Get a donor master pw switch socket and splice it into the GP master wiring. You will be set. |

Another solution to the drivers door switch issue is to get the switch and harness ending from 71-76 fullsize chevs and ponchos. they use the same switches, they are plentiful in boneyards since the rest of the PW components are not interchangable.
The passenger door harness is the same, the switch is different but the connector is identical
