Default max limits for a safe motor

using an ia2 block and tiger heads what would be the highest lift and rpm that could be used and keep the motor reliable.reliable meaning going a season without changes of parts.

Depends on the rotating assembly mostly.
Need good rods and pistons, then the crank to keep it together.

i am more intrested in how high we can turn the motor and how much lift we can use without having alot of stress on the valve train

I hear high rpm and nitrous...and I say aluminum rods are the only way to go. I only have experience with BME rods, but there are others out there as good, or better. I really like the GRP rods with their "radial serrations" on the caps and end of the rod. That's an ingenious little improvement.

Both Jack Gaydosh and Scott Rex are buzzing their engines to 8500 rpm without issues, so you shouldn't have any issues either with wanting to run a cam that doesn't require changing springs more than once a year.

Now the big question. How many cubes and how much power do you want to make? This is where cam and spring selection comes into play. You can't just pick the parts based on "what will last me all season" and throw them together, without knowing how much power you want to make.

I'll go around 25 passes on a set of intake valve springs.
