Default R.A R.E. products

I want to step up to some 3" pipes for my 65 Catalina, I was looking at the RARE exhaust manifolds at the PITP event and they look really nice, but that doesn't always mean they will fit/work nicely! Anyone used their products?
Thanks,
Bill

I put a set of their RA manifolds on my LeMans in the winter or '04/'05. They were the 2.5" that look from the outside just like the factory 2 1/4" manifolds. They looked nice and fit very well. No problems here. John

I installed a pair of ceramic coated round ports last summer on my 76 T/A, and they fit great. Granted, it is an f-body, but if the quality and fit in my application is any indication of the overall quality of RARE's products then I think you would be pleased.

i just used their oversize round port ram air manifolds for 66/67 GTO

when they said "in some rare circumstances you may need to grind a little of the extra weld away from the frame from some plants"

they meant...

"be prepared to grind a hole in your frame because we misdesigned the manifolds and didn't think to turn the flange mounting bolt away from the frame...and are too lazy to correct the problem"

for what they cost...and how simple of a mess up that was....i wasn't impressed

Thanks Guys,
I plan to build my own 3" system, It is a little tight over the rear axle, lots of cutting and welding.
