Default Intake Question

Is anybody running a victor intake in a 2 gen T/A and if so what air cleaner are you using?

Nobody running a victor intake in a firebird? My question is to determine what air cleaner I need to clear the hood. I have an after market shaker scoop attached to the hood. Note that I do not have the engine in the car and was hoping to buy everything and install in one shot. Have attached picture of car.

MoJo - Yes Transamula hood, 1974 formula hood cut for a shaker scoop.

76/80bird - I wish I could tell you, but I purchased it over 15 years ago and do not recall who made it. Got it at a local speed shop at the time.

That scoop is an aftermarket unit that was offered years ago by H-O Racing.
You'll be hardpressed to find one now.
I have one thats patterned after the later scoops that I used before I developed the WFO unit..

You can run a small diameter air cleaner on the Victor applications.
9", 10"

I have a similar situation. But it's a factory scoop molded into a 'glass hood, height is about 3" above the hood. Not as tall as yours.
With a Victor intake milled down slightly, 1/2" or so, and a 1/2" carb spacer installed with a HP950 carb the front air vents on the carb were about 1/2" from hitting the underside of the scoop at the front.
No room for a air cleaner.

Thanks for the responses. I guess I will have to wait and put the engine in the car. Worst case I will run without hood until I figure out something. Engine should be ready in May and will pick it up at PY Pontiac in the park event.
