Aluminum Valve covers
What plug wire retainers/seperators are you running with you aluminum valve covers. Mine bolt all the way through the covers. Does anyone have pictures of ther set up they could post. Thanks a lot.

Home-made tubular looms. I can remove rocker covers without touching anything else. I got the idea from aftermarket billet pieces, but took the cheap approach; cut lengths of thin-wall aluminum tubing, polished them, and pop-riveted them together and to small brackets that bolt to the heads.

I haven't run the engine yet. The only concern would be if there is enough capacitance between the tubes and the wires to affect the rise time of the ignition voltage. I haven't tried to estimate or measure the capacitance- just guessing that it won't be significant (an "educated" guess, after retiring from a career in electronics).
If you build something like this, I advise not having the front mounting screws where mine are. When I drilled and tapped the heads for them, I broke into the water jacket, so I have to be careful to seal the screws. |

I prefer my seperators to remain as invisible as possible.

I also like the "less visible" separators, David. Are your friends bugging you to do aluminum polishing for them now?! |

Jack, I've had a few "WoW"s. Can't wait till cruise-in season gets rolling.
