Brandi, Does each corner bounce more than once after pushing down or when you are driving does it feel like you are bottoming out or have excessive bounce when you hit a dip or pothole? If so you probably need new ones buy the best that you can.I plan to put on Eldebrock IAS on my wifes car and I hope they will have them for my Ventura since it will be a daily driver.Summit racing has the Eldebrock shocks

Brandi, when you jack the rear up and have it set on jackstands make sure you keep the rear end supported with a floor jack and raised slightly and do one side at a time
