wHAT COLOR BOLTS FOR CROSS BRACE IN ENGINE COMPARTMENT? WHAT COLOR BOLTS FOR HINGES IN ENGINE COMPARTMENT? WHAT COLOR BOLT FOR INNER FENDERS IN ENGINE COMPARTMENT? WHAT COLOR BOLTS FOR THE RADIATOR HOLD DOWN? THANKS!!!

All sheetmetal bolts in the engine compartment were either black phosphate or black zinc finish, neither of which stood up to the elements too well over the years, altho the zinc was better than the phosphate.
The only source I have seen is a few pages in the Master Parts Book that shows/lists some (not all) of the cars hardware and finishes. The rest of the knowledge on the different finishes has come from parting quite a few cars over the years and seeing what finishes were on the original hardware. |
