I can't vote without knowing is it a comoplete frame-off or is it a 10 foot car that is driven everywhere or a weekend street/strip drag car?

Hard to beat the Cragar look. They are however very seldom round......

I like the red lines, period. Always liked the Cragers with or without red lines.

The Diamondback Classic Redline Radial is a very good tire,I have had good luck with them on my 64 GTO.They ride and handle beautiful and are a fair price.I'm sure they are less then $200 each with shipping. Redline is flush with sidewall, not recessed into sidewall like originals. It's not a problem, they still look great.

The car just underwent a frame-off, its new. The DB 500's (which are actually Firestone Indy's)are 179+ Shipping. The same tire w/o redline in $65 at Tirerack.

Hi,
If its a trailer queen put the redlines on your Rally IIs. If you are going to drive it, put on the 15x7 Cragar SS and 235/60/15 BFG TAs.

Go with redlines. It's the one thing I would do over on my car.

I (unintentionally) wound up with the exact duplicate of the 68 sales brocuhure centerfold.

All but that one detail!

Redlines are not necessarily indicative of a "trailer queen".

I vote for none.

Get the Diamondback redline radials in the 225 70 series and mount on Rally II wheels.

You'll get handling and looks, but your cost may be somewhat higher than your choices.

What if I just buy some white walls and color them in Red with a permanent magic marker.

I'm very satisfied with the look of the redlines on my 68 Hardtop.

You'd save hundreds of dollars, have better tires and get a better ride for your car. Just make sure you get the right shade and that the walls are thin enough. Oh yeah, and don't brush any curbs.

But think about it....you might be the first person to "clone" tires! It's worth it just for that, eh?

Hey,
Someone out there has done this and they went all out to do it.
They got a set of cheap whitewalls, nice thin recessed white wall section, then made these large circles to mask the sidewalls. The exposed areas were sprayed with a rubber/vinyl red paint. They looked fantastic!
The guy did a write up on it, and did it for his (I think) 66 GTO.
I can't find that site for the life of me, but it's out there somewhere in virtual land.
