I just got a rear parts idler arm for my 67 GTO. the part number is 5743 C, and it does not seem right. anyone know if this is right

Joe ,
That is defentley not a GM part number . It seens to be an aftermarket part number . If you know who your manufacture is , check with a local part's supplier
who sells that brand . They should be able to look that up in there part books to help you identify it .

Joe, a GTO Idler Arm is a readily available part. PY # RPU122 $19.00 Rare Parts is usually only needed on the harder to find stuff. TRW 18634 is your cross reference number.
