I recently purchased a '67 GTO. It came with parchment interior. How can I tell the original carpet color and the dash and trim paint color?

Carpet on Parchment interior cars was always black. Dash would also be black. "Face" of the dash would be gloss, behind pad would be semi gloss.

What about the metal above the door panels. Was that white to match the door panels?

Thanks in advance.

Andre is correct. The metal above the door panel is parchment (white) in a parchment interior car.

Goatboy,
What color is the top of the door now?
I have worked on several parchment cars and have seen black and body color IE.. red car
Sand carefully and see what is under the color if it is a wrong color. I would like to know

Thanks for the suggestion, Blackcat. The metal above the door panels has been repainted (there's white paint on the chrome trim at the top of the panel). I took a closer look and the paint is chipped in some areas and it is white underneath. I think the answer, for my car at least, is white.

Thanks to all for the help.
