I have a Moroso oil pan that I intended on using on my 455 GTO bracket car but have heard that there are some problems with the baffling in the pan when tring to control oil sloshing forward when comming out of the burnout box and then hitting the brakes.I guess the same thing would happen at top end to.Anybody else heard of this? Is ther a way to add a type of door or additional baffle? The pan I have is the 8qrt type. Thanks for any input.

I ran and used the Moroso pan, back in the day. LOL. The only problem I encountered was that up until a year ago or so. Moroso only made a 5/8" pic-up tube and if you used the Normal Pontiac 3/4" pump you had to make your own pick up tube. No big deal if ya got a welder.
I quit using their pans and went to Milidon/Canton pans and don't know if they fixed that problem. I called back in 93 or so and just got a Hummmmmmmmmmmm. really? ************************************************** *************************** Build it fast, build it right, build a Pontiac. http://PontiacDude.cc |

I'm running the 8 qt. pan with the 3\4 inch pickup with no problems what so ever. If you run the pan with the full 8 qts. with a qt. also in the filter or 2 qts. if running duel filters. Believe you me, there is ample enough oil to cover what ever your doing in the brackets....

I have an 8 qt Moroso on the SD motor currently in the GTO. I have also developed a piece that will permanently fix the rear pan seal problem using the 3 tang rubber O-ring seal. When I get some time Im going to make one for the IA motor, and I will snap some pics.
