I'm almost finished with my '73 T/A project. Just finished installing a TKO II 5speed, Lakewood bellhousing, McCleod hydrolic slave&clutch. All I have left is installing the Baer 4 wheel disc and break in the motor! Here are a couple of pictures of the car when I got it and what it look like now. It was a California car all it's life and had original paint when I got it.

Larry, I got a complete kit from Keisler Engineering. It came with a Lakewood bellhousing, TKO II transmission(rated at 650hp), Hust shifter& ball, Mcloud clutch pressure plate, flywheel, a hydrolic clutch set up, pilot bearing and all neccessary nuts& bolts. I modified the crossmember and had the driveshaft shortened. Since my car was orignally a automatic and your '79 is a stick, you may not need evrything I got. The hydrolic clutch set up is great, makes powershifting easier. Give me a call.

That is a very bad ass car! I was just wondering, since you have a nice car collection and probably dont have room for another car, would you consider sponsoring my 70 formula build up?

So all told, how much did the Keisler set up cost? Eventually one day I might just scrounge up enough change to go that route which is definetly soemthing I'd like to do.

I'm kind of partial to my 73 also. I've had it for 29 years and have almost finished it's restoration.

The kit was $4800. My car was originally a automatic, so I needed everything. You can also buy just the tranny from Swarr.

Dennis, when we restored the '73, every piece was removed and media blasted, epoxied, primered and painted chassis blk with a gun. My buddy at the bodyshop mixed up the blk he used on his show car. Sometimes the chassis blk has a brownish tint to it, mine is very blk. I will ask him what he used and let you know.
