My 63 Lemans convertible is starting to sag in the rear after 40 years of use. I noticed that the previous owner placed some spacers in the coil springs to give it an extra boost, but the car still sits at least 2 inches lower in the rear than the front. With the car having a rear transaxel, What is the best way to get the back end up where it belongs? New coil springs, air shocks, shocks with the helper springs?? If it needs new coil springs, where can I purchase them and how much am I looking atfor a cost. Dan

How much do you want for the springs?? I'm leaning at putting air shocks on the car, but have not explored if they will fit on this car. Dan

You may try checking a Moog or TRW distributor.
They are obsolete, but someone just may have a set sitting there.
The part number for all except Safari and 8 cyl
convertible is #5111. Safari and 8cyl convertible is #5109. That is the same numbers for either Moog or TRW.
