It is a horn relay. It for actuating the horns and the buzzer alarm for key in ignition.

So if the key buzzer works, then the horn should work unless something else is wrong with the horn?
My key buzzer works but the horn hasn't worked since I owned the car.

Looks like a real dirty horn relay. 4 wires going to it. constant horn power, horn, constant relay power, relay ground which comes from the horn button. If you short the heavy power and horn lead the horn should beep. I'd send you to 68firebirds site withe the great wiring diagrams but it looks like it shut down.. Wish I had a copy of what he had on it.

Anyways, Clean the wiring contacts and get a new relay

Note to Firebob, The horn on my 69 stopped working last week, but I could still hear the relay clicking.
Unknown to me when I got my car only one worked & the 2nd just now died. I got a high & low note that look pretty close to originals from UAP Napa for about $15 ea to tie me over. If I put the original horn brackets on the new ones, I think most people would be hard pressed to tell the differance. It sounds much better with a pair working.

So if one has a high and low note horn and only one horn is working could it be because of a bad horn relay then??

pmd: probably not since the relay feeds both horns. You have a bad horn or more likely, a corroded connection at the horn.

...Either what George said or it's a bad frame ground via the mounting bolt. Remove and clean thet connection up.Usually, the horn located in the center on the hood latch support, the low note horn, goes bad first. I had one that only worked well when wired directly to the battery.

My low note horn is the one the still works. Will check my connections and get it all cleaned up.

Old thread I know, but I still do not have a high note horn working. Two things that might help to resolve this: The ignition buzzer does not work and I do hear a click when I press the horn as the low note horn does sound. Connections are clean.

Take the lead off the horn put a meter on it and to ground and see if you get 12v when you hit the horn button. Bench test the horn if you do. I have had horn work when applied directly to the battery but not through the wiring. I also believe the high horn goes bad more often than the low horn.
