I need to know if anyone has ordered package trays from PY. I browsed through the full-size catalog and it shows most things as being out of stock. I need a new tray in the metallic red color to match my interior but I found that the red color says it's not available. Any ideas?

Since PY is out of them you might try OPG:

Try Ames Performance, OPG has the largest # of backorders and highest prices in my experience.

If there are none available in the correct color from the other reccommended sources, could you order a black one and paint it?

Maybe I'll try calling the other two places as well. What exactly is OPG? (Sorry, still learning here) I wouldn't really want to order one and paint it, although SEM does make a really good vinyl paint/dye that works real well so that could be an option. Hard part is getting just the right color.

OPG = Original Parts Group, you can also access their catalog via website www.opgi.com
They have a very extensive inventory of parts specific to GTOs as well as generic stuff for rebuilding and restoration. I haven't had any more problems with backorders from them than PY or Ames.

Customer service goes a long ways and this is something that OPG doesn't have. What few items I have ordered from them has been either on back order or it takes them 7-10 days to get parts to your door. Ames and PY both have great customer service and tell you when you are ordering if they have stock and when it will be available.
