Maybe someone here can suggest a donor car for rims for my '62 Tempest. When I got the car it only had one of the original wheels and it was bent. I've seen some discussion that only '61-'63 Tempest wheels will fit in order to have enough clearance. Other guys say some later model Mopar wheels fit. I was going to hot rod this car but with only 70K on it I think I might just drive it for a while. I'm in Colorado. Anyone nearby with a set of wheels they want to get rid of? Anyone personally used other wheels with good results? Bob

Where in Colorado are you? I know that Speedway Wrecking (Erie) has several of the 61-63 Tempests in the yard. I bet you could make a complete set of wheels from all the cars there. I have a set, but they are on the car until I get it finished, then the American Racing wheels will go on. That could be quite a while though...

Thanks Motornoggin, I had forgotten about Speedway. I'm in far SE Colorado but occassionally I get up that way since my grandparents live at Longmont.

Anyone ever notice that Hollander has a different listing for these wheels for every year from '61-63, & that '63 is split-up into wagons & non wagons with the wagons having a 1/2" wider 4.5" bolt pattern wheel? Just thought it odd, I originally figured '61-63 Tempest would be all the same. Ran into this when trying to find a few extra wheels for my '63 LeMans just so I could roll it around before I got started on it.

Upon further inspection it turns out that these wheels are marked GM and P. The four on the ground have ears for hubcaps to snap over. The one in the trunk is narrower and has clips to hold the hubcaps. Does that help any on I.D. ?
