i just started blowing trans kickdown fuse.
replaced switch at pedal, still blows fuse, when kickdown switch is activated. if i disconnect single wire going to soleniod at trans, fuse will not blow.could soleniod in trans be shorted?
do i need to drop trans pan to replace this solenoid? any help would be great! thanks

Did you pull the wire at the pedal switch or the trans? That wire goes from the pedal switch thru the main firewall harness plug to the trans and it could be broken and grounded out somewhere in between. I would try unplugging the orange wire at the pedal switch and at the trans, then check resistance thru that wire first. If it checks good, then you will be dropping the pan.
