Is there any difference between the 389 4 bbl that came in the 65 GTO and the 389 4bbl that came in the bonnieville? If I have no luck there, Is there any reason a 389 2bbl cant be rebuilt to the same specs as the 325 HP version?
Thanks, Bob

Have you tried to get hold of Carbking or Cliff? They would know more about that.

Head #´s and cam is different. GTO-engine will have crome valvcovers.
You can turn a 2-bbl engine into a 4-bbl engine with correct parts.
