Default New steering linkage on a 1971 Pontiac Grand Prix

I'm in the process of replacing all the steering linkage on my 71 GP. The grease fittings on the center link are way too close to the center frame rail under the engine, so much so that they rub against it. Did the automotive store sell me the wrong parts or am I doing something wrong. It's in the middle of a frame off rotisserie restoration so I disassembled it last summer and threw away all the old parts and have forgotten exactly how it's supposed to look. Any help would be greatly appreciated ! Mark
