The bracket is a 73 or 74 I’m pretty sure.

The solenoid itself is likely the same for 1968 through mid-70s, it looks to fit multiple different carburetors and mounting brackets.

Please do your research to be sure it’s the right one for your application.

That was not used for '73-4. Pictured is what was used then.

Solenoid was, I believe, '68-72. Bracket more like a '72, so maybe '70-2.
I should add that for '70, it was only used on the RAIV.

I have a solenoid and bracket that I pulled from a'68 LeMans 2bbl car. Not surprisingly, the bracket is different from either of the ones shown in this thread but the solenoid itself is the identical in appearance. Just an FYI to potential buyers.

GM likely produced one solenoid that they used for multiple years and applications, which would be the most economical way to conduct their business.

Different mounting brackets yet the same solenoid.

No doubt. Just a 12v solenoid, no reason to have different ones for different engines or carbs.

Solenoid should have a number stamped or printed on the body. If im not mistaken, the RAIII, IV solenoid was different from the standard 400 motor.

That looks like the same as is on my 72 attached to a 4 barrel carb.

Bart, can you see the number stamped into that thing before you box it up? If you can't see it without cleaning, no problem. I've seen a few that had the last digit as a three and some, like mine, the last digit is five. Just curious as to what the difference was.

I’ll try but I’m not wanting to scrub it up and possibly scratch the finish.

Yes, I gathered that and that's why I said if you can't see it don't worry about it.
