A very quick search brought up these facts: Gary Sigman was a stock car builder and racer in Southern Ca from about 1970-2010. He placed in sportsman class at Saugus in 1992 at the age of 53. He died in a fire in his shop in 2010 at the age of 70-71 that was started while welding on an old truck he was restoring. Sounds like a real "car guy" thru and thru, but the ebay jacket that sold for $750 was/is actually about 30 years newer than posted by the seller, who claimed "1940's or '50's".
