Default Lunati Voodoo 704 Sound Clip

I thought I would share the sound clip to my 462 with the Voodoo 704 on a 110. There’s a lot of cam recomendation threads here so I thought the sound clip would be a welcome addition. The 2.5 exhaust is RA manifolds with a Pypes X and Race Pros.

Thanks to Paul (gtofreek) for the recommendation and Paul K for the Hylift Johnson’s

Pulls hard, especially with the 3.73s. It will get 3.08s this winter to appreciate the full power range in a street and highway cruiser.

Nice! I used the 703 in a stock RAIII app.
Made over 380 hp on dyno

Yes unported,
I was not happy with the pistons owner supplied as they were the TRW's flats and another shop dished them in a lathe loosing the efficiency of squish pad area.
I still managed to get 10:1 out of them

Thanks, PonchJoe, for putting up this video. It was just what I needed to hear this morning. Have a 703 still in the box for after the holidays. Your sound clip gives inspiration....Thanks!

I have the same exact set-up in my 468. Pulls real hard and I know that 770 carb is a hair small. The redline is well over 6K. Love this cam. Youll be way happy!!! I cant keep my foot out of it!!!

Have fun and be safe!!! Mine gets sideways in 3rd!

Sounds great. That's not even what I'd consider a really radical idle either, and sounds pretty tame considering the duration and LSA numbers. Did Paul recommend an ICL install position?

Yes he did, 104, but the closest I could get was 104.5

That sounds really great. I was torn between the 703 and 704 for my build. I ended up going with the 703 because of the 5 speed and 3.36 gears I wanted the cam to smooth out by the time I was at 70MPH. At 70MPH I am at about 1900RPM and the cam smooths out at 1600RPM. My concern with the 704 it would still be too ruff at highway speed. Mine is a 428 bored 40 over (435). Here is an old video from this spring when I finally got it started. I guess I should get a new one since the car is done. The sound quality from the back is not real good, the video kind of muffled the exhaust sound.

Here is the car since it was finished.

Here's a sound clip of the 704 Voodoo in a 10.8:1 iron headed 428.
