Anti-Freeze life etc.
Been couple yrs since antifreeze has been changed in my 69 Firebird. Plan to drain, flush and replace same soon. Anyone have an opinion on adding water pump Lub or is this necessary? Have added it in the past but I notice Prestone's Lub and anti-rust product is off the market.. Found a replacement called Bar's Leak 1311 Water Pump w/Anti-rust. Any opinions on this?
Thanks, Frank69 |

Last time I flushed I used extended life anti-freeze, that was 3 years ago. Interested to see comment from others.

I believe it is supposed to be changed at 3 to 4 years. I just changed all hoses and antifreeze on my 72 GTO after 14 years but I did change antifreeze every 3 to 4 years. I was thinking I had that car for 10 years but the wife who cant forget anything said 14 so I knew it was time.
