Seconded. In no way was I suggesting that this be done. I would repair what needs it and drive.

If you decide to put a '71 nose on it let me know as I have a N.O.S. one still in GM box and a very nice '71 core support as well and would be interested in your '72 header and core support. Very nice car by the way!!!

Nice car. The Sandalwood interior is interesting...the steering column and wheel are the darker Sandalwood color, but the dash, kick panels and A pillars look like they have been painted the lighter color to match the seats and door panels.

My T-37 was built late July 1971 at the Pontiac plant and had the correct '71 grilles and fiberglass nose when I bought it from the original owner, so I don't think they ran out...

I think this is common because when you look at the interior paint code for this 71 shade, it comes up Sandlewood, so that color is mixed up and away you go! Problem is that only the door panels, seating and console were Sandlewood. Dash, A pillars, column, kick panels were what they called Dark Biege for 71 Sandlewood interiors. Guess you could call it two tone.

Yes, it is definitely two tone. I converted my '71 from Jade to Sandalwood, and it took a while to get the correct dark Sandalwood to do my kick panels, A-pillars, metal dash and package tray/rear window lip. Column came from a donor car so it was already correct. Just Dashes did the padded dash in the correct darker color.

His padded dash looks light too, like someone even painted that? Maybe someone didn't like the two tone scheme (except they left the column and steering wheel darker).
