Aftermarket Radios
I'm looking to replace the non original radio in my 70 GTO, the center bar has already been removed at some point in time, but the dash face is nice. The radio has to mount with the knobs. I have been looking at some of the radios listed on ebay to get an idea of whats available. Looking for one that interfaces with ipods and mp3 players and that kind of stuff. Not looking to mount it in the console or glove box.
Has anyone purchased any of these radios and how did you like it? Thanks Here's a couple of ones I am referring to. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1968-1972-GT...a293e9&vxp=mtr http://www.ebay.com/itm/RetroSound-H...5fc8e5&vxp=mtr http://www.ebay.com/itm/1968-72-GTO-...95a67d&vxp=mtr |

I did the Retrosound in my '69:
Went with a dual coil speaker setup up front and 6x9s in the back. Everything sounds really good, it's not competition level or audiophile quality but for listening to something other than traffic and the engine it's a big step above. No cutting or hacking required either. |

Mine was purchased on Ebay from user Barlosal. You can ask if he could do your radio. |

The kick panel speakers?
The factory kick panel speakers didn't last long. Upgraded to conic & sound good for a factory radio.
