Default Hurst Shifter Question

Can anyone tell me how to remove the shifter handle from a Hurst Compettition Plus shifter? It is not original, it is the one sold by our host for a 64-66 GTO. I know about sticking a shim on the side but this one appears to be different. It looks like it is bolted in from front to back. Thanks for any input.

67 and newer used a shim to remove, earlier versions are bolted in place. Remove the bolt and it should slide right out.

It doesn't look like it will slide out. This is not an original shifter. Does anyone have any experience with the repo shifter?

There's a 2-part video on YouTube. Pretty detailed and helped me with mine.
